My dear Ernst:
I am sending you a copy of the Ger-
man edition of my book, "Zelda Marsh", which
I hope reaches you in good order. It goes
to you with much affection, for I enjoyed
meeting you, and loved your wonderful music.
I can only hope that "Johnny" when it is pro-
duced at the "Met" in New York will impress
its audiences as much as it impressed me.
And I earnestly hope that circumstances will
permit me to be there to swell the applause
