matter very favourably mentioned by the
Minister of Health in the House of Commons
last year. Mr. Chamberlain said that
he would view very favourably any scheme
similar to the Austrian carried out in
England. The coal strike delayed matters ,
but in two or three districts they are
now forming associations.
I do hope you are keeping fairly well
this winter, I wonder if you went to
Frau von Rosthorn's for the New Year.
I always remember with pleasure New
Years Day of 1925 at their house, and
how you were like a sweet Mother to
us all.
I hope that a great friend of mine,
Lady Heaton Ellis, will be going to Vienna
for the Beethoven Festival and I will
give her an introduction to you if you
will allow me to do so.
I am very busy with international
work now for the League of Nations Union,
but in the evenings sometimes give the
Siedlungs lecture to French people who
are enthusiastic when they see what the
Austrians have accomplished.
